About Us
David Salisbury - about our founder.
David Salisbury began manufacturing wooden conservatories and orangeries over 20 years ago. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in physics, rather than becoming a research scientist, David became a deep-sea diver working on commercial oil rigs. This challenging and financially rewarding work allowed him to travel the world and enjoy life.On returning to the UK, David decided to make another dramatic career change by joining the social services as a residential social worker caring for the mentally ill. It was whilst working in this environment that he developed an interest in carpentry, as this was a part of the rehabilitation process used to help some of the patients. His flair, creativity and attention to detail have always been the motivation behind everything we do. Over the years David has applied his experience across all areas of the business and particularly in the development of the company's conservatory and orangery design software. This work is an ongoing challenge, to continuously improve our modern production processes in the endless pursuit of perfection. Just one more reason David Salisbury can offer a design and build service for their high quality wooden conservatories and orangeries like no other.
